I’m teaching myself to think of October as month of preparation. It’s not only reminds us that Winter is just round the corner, but it also forces us to think forward to thanksgiving, and that obviously leaves Christmas not that far off. These are all very important and significant events that are make us unconsciously spend a whole lot more than normal and therefore makes it so crucial for us to prepare in order not to outstretch ourselves beyond what we can afford financially. It’s also a great time for us to start thinking about what kind of goals we would like to set for ourselves in the coming year as it realistically only leaves us with only two extra months to the end of this year. Benjamin Franklin really puts it in the right perspective when he says, “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” If we want to succeed in anything, preparation is absolutely key!
“The will to succeed is important, but what’s more important is the will to prepare. – Bobby Knight
Welcome to October, the month of preparation!
